Not just naughty!

I recently read that some border agents were taking bribes to look the other way. I think we need to consider the circumstances.
We are at war with the drug cartell and terrorists. This act is nothing short of treason. I think they should be tried as such, and if found guilty, either hung, or placed in front of a firing squad. Somehow, though, I feel these traitors will be given a slap on the wrist. I feel very unsafe right now.

No holliday

My parents taught me, "If you can't say anything good about somebody, don't say anything at all." and, "Never speak ill, of the dead."
Ok, I won't mention any names.
I've heard discussions of creating a new holliday, to celebrate the life of somebody who passed away. Let us not forget "if" WAS a child molester. Maybe it couldn't be proven in court, but anybody with any common sense knows it's true. We could also add charges of drug abuse, and bribing a court witness. We cannot honor him we must honor Richar Allen Davis, Jeffrey Dommer, Charles Manson.....am I getting my point across?

abuse of a word

I'm getting sick at how the word, "diva" is being abused these days. People who use it, have obviously never looked it up on the dictionary. The first one that just about gagged me was a reference to Martha Stewart as "the kitchen diva." Give me a break. She doesn't even know how to sing.

Lobbiests are unconstitutional

We do not have a government of the people, for the people, nor by the people. It's of the special interests, for the rich, by the lobbiests. As long as we have lobbiests in Washington we will never have a fair government.

Air Guitar

On Good Morning America (weekend) There was an article about an Air Guitar competition. I noticed the participants tried to replace skill with voluntary spasms. I was wondering if those guitars com with a disclaimer that says: "Warning, can cause shaken baby syndrom."

Bret Favre and Michael Vick

I think it's worth repeating: There was a pole asking who you would rather have as a quarterback, Michael Vick, or Bret Favre, or neither. "Neither" won.
Last night Bret had the convenience of saying he hadn't been on the team long enough to become familiar. Let's see what happens when the ole man has had a while?

Cardinals to the World Series

I think too many people are underestimating the Cards.
1. First baseman is considered by many to be the player of the decade.
2. Two or possibly three pitchers are candidates for the Cy Young award.
3. Catcher is considered by HIS OPPONENTS to be the best defensive catcher of baseball and is the hardest catcher to strike out.
4. The best shortstop in baseball
5. The best gun in center field.
6. The best manager in baseball
And that's just the highlights.

Roll Models

Michael Vick, Manny Ramirez, and many others. They are discusting. We have to remember that our children look up to these people. We don't need them in public view.
I've heard the argument, "Vick has paid his debt to society, he deserves a chance to earn a living." Well, yes, he does. There's always washing dishes, sweeping floors. I have no sympathy for him, and I will root for the Eagles opponent every week this year.
Manny Ramirez needs to get a haircut. It's discusting and a safety hazzard. Anybody that makes as much money as he does, should be able to afford a new batting helmet, once in a while.
Kids, look at Albert Pujols, and Yadier Molina, Rick Ankiel and Matt Holliday.

safe or tailgating

Recently the "Good Hands People" ran and add telling us to follow at a safe distance. "Use the 2 second rule." Two seconds is called, "tailgaiting." A safe distance is 3 seconds, or 4 for trucks and busses.

Healthcare Reform

We could reform the healthcare system by getting rid of all the drug company's lobbiests in Washington DC. They pay them so much, congressmen are dropping out of congress to work as lobbiests. The more they pay lobbiests, the more congress allows them to collect. This is the proverbial "Fox guarding the henhouse. None of the congressmen want to do anything about this because it's future income, for them.

Actors are over rated

Actors and Actresses (as a group) are a bunch of overpaid, overrated, mamby pamby spoiled brats that are out of touch with reality, and can't do anything without the praise of the public and their peers. The real heroes are the police, firefighters and military, and they get no trophies every year.
Actors cannot act without somebody telling them exactly where to stand, what to say and how to say it. They get paid millions of dollars for doing what my brother, David, and I used to do for fun. We made up our own script as we went along. We had no director, and we got it right on the first take, every time.
And the garbage they put out these days is atrocious. They misbehave in public and it increases their ratings. I, for one, am not impressed with their so called charities. If the truth was known, its either something that has stricken one of their loved ones, or it's no more than a tax deduction.

Lookin' for work

Recently I was watching the (fairly) new TV show about National Security. They caught some Mexicans sneaking into the US. Tearfully they replied, "My family is starving and I'm just looking for work."
I wish I'd been there, I'd said, "Turn around and go back, you've got all our jobs in Mexico!"
Actually he already had a job. He was packing 25 lbs of drugs.

Major League Baseball is out of touch

I think the whole MLB is out of touch. They don't realize, (or don't care) there is an economical crisis going on. All the players, coaches, and management, should take a pay cut, and they should decrease the prices of the tickets, so more people could afford to go to the game. The prices on the items in the gift shops are obscene.
I intend to watch way fewer games on TV this year. I know they get a kick-back from the networks. I also intend to write an email to my favorite team, the cardinals, and let them know that's how I feel.
