Blaim it on the punter

I cannot believe the Giants would go to sleep in the second half of the game, allow the Eagles to score 28 points, and then blame it on the punter. Poor Dodge! C'mon Man!!

Opposing issues

I had two people, one was my brother, Larry, comment on my views of separation of church and state. I guess they were there for quite a while, and I didn't know it. I did try to approve them, today, when I found them. Although I don't agree, I will always support your right to your feeble opinion.
I just don't understand why I cannot worship my God as I see fit, but others can do what ever they want. That's NOT separation of Church and state!!

Gullible People

Years ago (late 80's) I worked for Radio Shack, and I was amazed at how many people actually believed that patch cords were better if they had gold tips. Even though, everything in between those gold tips was only copper. I guess it's all in the sales.
Now I see that Miller Beer has come out with a "vortex" bottle. Man! I can't imagine how much swirling your beer, can make it taste better. Has anybody fallen for that one?

Thanksgiving

I'm thankful that God loves me. I have so many loving friends. A wonderful family, and most of all, the best wife in the world.

Minnesota Vikings Nightmare

The Vikings don't seem to understand that, as long as #4 is at QB, they're not going to win any games with teams above High School level. If Bret had any decency at all, he would step down. I wonder how long this coach is going to last?

False prophets

As I was watching the show on the History Channel, I had to laugh. They spent many dollars, (probably yours and mine) to take a trip to Apocolypse Island in search of some 150 ft monument. This whole thing is based on theories, and astrology, and the Mayan Calendar. Basically, though, the whole thing is based on a fact that there are many Gods. This alone means the whole thing is not possible. And I didn't have to leave my living room.

baseball terms I don't like

1. I don't like the term, "hurler." It sounds like it maybe somebody that has mastered the art of "Power-puking."

2. When the batter comes up to the plate, I don't like when they call him, "the hitter." He is the batter. He don't become the hitter, until he makes contact with the ball.

Galarraga

I think everybody is missing the issue. It's not about reversing the call. It's not about adding replay challenges to baseball. I think everybody needs to take notice of the restraint, and good sportsmanship of Galarraga. His first reflex was to smile. (he may have been in shock) but at NO time did he get angry. He immediately forgave him and noticed the fact that he is human. If you watched him deliver the line-up to the ump, the next day with dry eyes, than I'm afraid it is YOU that is not human.

Hikers arrested in Iran

Okay, why were they hiking in Iraq? Hadn't they heard, there is a war going on there? Is this, "Poor little rich kids," with nothing better to do than to go hiking through a war zone? These kids need something better to do like, help rebuild New Orleans or Haiti. Go help out at the homeless shelter. Find some lawns to mow. Help a little old lady cross the street. I have trouble finding sympathy for these kids.

serving in Viet Nam

You cannot "misspeak" about serving in Viet Nam. I went in in 1967 and served until after we pulled out of Viet Nam. The closest I got was the Phillippines. When somebody asks me if I served in Viet Nam, I'm always very specific in saying that I served DURING Viet Nam, but never served IN Viet Nam. I don't think it's a matter that CAN be misspoke. I say he's a liar!

The first Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
My Bible tells me to worship my God in everything I do. Yet my government is passing laws telling me I can't. Why are the Atheists and Gnostic's rights protected and mine aren't.
This country was founded so people could worship without being prohibited. It was NOT founded to allow people to ESCAPE religion. My opinion is, if people want to to have a country without a God. Let the discover their own country, or go to one of the many countries that do not acknowledge God.

Socialism and Obama

Ok, first of all, I'm poor. That don't make me a democrat. I spent 16 years in the navy, and that don't make me a Republican.
The "upper-class" says they don't want to pay for poor people's medical. I'm not asking them to, but if they did, so what, poor people have been paying their share of taxes all my life (or longer). What I'm trying to say, is, if the rich would pay their fair share of taxes, the poor might be able to pay their fair share of medical expenses.
What would also help is, if the drug company would lay off the lobbiest. Lobbying should be unconstitutional anyway, because once they have performed, it's no longer a government of the people, by the people, nor for the people.
