Respect for the Flag

I get so irritated these days at sporting events. There is so much disrespect for the flag and the nation anthem.

Here's what I expect. First of all, the nation anthem is a fight song, not a lullaby. Quit dragging it out and quit adding so many extra notes one cannot recognize it. If you want to see the pace it should be played or sang, watch a marching band play it. That's how it should be.

Spectators, do not move, scratch, talk or anything else while the song is being sung. You stand at attention with you hand on your heart, or if you are a veteran, you can now salute. Your eyes are suppose to be glued on the flag. The only thing that should be coming out of your mouth is the words of the song, if you want to sing along. Do not start cheering until the song is over!!!

When a pattern says, "knit through the back" how do you do that on a loom?

Blaim it on the punter

I cannot believe the Giants would go to sleep in the second half of the game, allow the Eagles to score 28 points, and then blame it on the punter. Poor Dodge! C'mon Man!!

Opposing issues

I had two people, one was my brother, Larry, comment on my views of separation of church and state. I guess they were there for quite a while, and I didn't know it. I did try to approve them, today, when I found them. Although I don't agree, I will always support your right to your feeble opinion.
I just don't understand why I cannot worship my God as I see fit, but others can do what ever they want. That's NOT separation of Church and state!!

Gullible People

Years ago (late 80's) I worked for Radio Shack, and I was amazed at how many people actually believed that patch cords were better if they had gold tips. Even though, everything in between those gold tips was only copper. I guess it's all in the sales.
Now I see that Miller Beer has come out with a "vortex" bottle. Man! I can't imagine how much swirling your beer, can make it taste better. Has anybody fallen for that one?

Thanksgiving

I'm thankful that God loves me. I have so many loving friends. A wonderful family, and most of all, the best wife in the world.

Minnesota Vikings Nightmare

The Vikings don't seem to understand that, as long as #4 is at QB, they're not going to win any games with teams above High School level. If Bret had any decency at all, he would step down. I wonder how long this coach is going to last?
